Parents honoured at BVM (USN) Prize Distribution Cum Cultural Function

BVM, USN organized a glittering bonanza in the annual Prize Distribution cum cultural function on 23.12.2016 and 24.12.2016 amidst great zest, vibrance and elation. On 23.12.2016, Sh. Surender Attri, General Secretary (North Zone, Vidya Bharti) was the chief guest and Ms. Mukti Gupta (Excise and Taxation officer) was the guest of honour, Sh. Desh Raj Sharma (Convener, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Principal, SD Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir Talwara) was the Guest speaker for the occasion.
On 24.12.2016, Dr Lalit Bihari Goswami (Rashtriya Maha Mantri, Vidya Bharti) presided over the function as the Chief Guest and Dr. Mohit Aggarwal (MD Med.) was the Guest of Honour. Honourable Sh. Jap Dev Batish (Deputy head Sarv Hitkari Punjab), Sh. M.M.Vyas ji(President, BVM Trust), Sh. Phool Chand Jain ji(Vice President, BVM Trust) Sh. PC Goyal ji(Secretary, BVM Trust), Sh. RK Behal ji(Treasurer, BVM Trust) and BVM Trust members - Sh. MM Bamba ji,Sh. O.P. Sabharwal ji.
The diligent and fastidious students were awarded prizes for their perseverance in academic and sports.The parents of the winners were also honoured along with the students, their happiness seemed at its peak at the moment. Thus culmination of hard work of parents and students throughout the year was lauded.
The programme opened with ‘Deep Parjawalan’ by dignitaries and was followed by ‘Ganpati Vandan’ which awakened one and all present with divine spirit. Tiny tots of pre primary section lit up the stage with scintillating welcome dance – ‘Ji Aayaan Nu’. ‘Ambassadors of Cleanliness’- a Medley presented by toddlers of Shishu Vatika imparted motivational message of keeping our surroundings clean. Budding artists of pre primary section left the audience spell bound with their “Spanish Dance - Flamenco”. ‘Fitness & Flexibility’, a dance activity revealed the importance of staying fit. Guru-disciple relationship was depicted through historical anecdotes “Reflections of history”.  ‘Natkhat Qwaals’ enthralled the audience with hilarity. The resounding applause from the spectators confirmed their talent. The main highlight of the day was “Aashayein” – A Choreography which touched the current issues like Jammu & Kashmir terrorism and demonetization. Illustrations culled from the rich heritage of India were displayed through a narrative- Srishti Ka Aarambh which left every mind into an enquiry.
Annual report was read by Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi who highlighted the achievements of school during 2015-16.
The Guest of Honour Mr. Mohit Aggarwal all praised the wonderful performances of the students. The event that concluded with Giddha, Bhangra and Grand finale, by senior students left the spectators captivated at their caliber and poise. Sh.M.M.Vyas ji, President BVM Trust thanked everyone present there.
